Corrections to IRS Form 1099 are issued when companies reclassify distributions from the prior year. Reclassifications and the associated corrections to IRS Form 1099, Form 8949, downloads and gain-loss reports are typically completed by the end of March but may be posted at any time.
To access the Tax Center, log into Freedom Advisors and enter the Service Center either by clicking on the Service tab within an account or by clicking on Service Center on the left navigation bar. Then click on the Tax Center link on the right side of the screen.
