New “Know Your Client” Questions

In March and May of this year, we alerted you to new “Know Your Client” requirements that are necessary to comply with regulatory requirements. Starting June 20, 2022, we require additional information to open an account. These questions are not part of the opening workflow and will need to be provided via the new Know Your Client Addendum, found in the Resources page. If you have transitioned to Freedom Advisors, these questions will be part of the new account workflow starting June 20th.

These new profile questions are, in most cases, similar to what is provided in a loan application.

Existing questions that are now required:

  • Employer Name
  • Employer Address
  • Annual Income

New Questions:

  • Does the client expect to invest in low priced or marijuana related securities?
  • How many domestic wire transfers, inbound and outbound, are expected per month?
  • How many domestic checks are expected to be written per month?
