Your EQIS Team

Meet Brittney Zapor

Operations Manager Brittney Zapor joined EQIS in 2014. She started as an account specialist before becoming the manager of the new account and account maintenance teams.

We caught up with Brittney to find out why her work is so important to EQIS advisors.

Describe your day-to-day role here at EQIS.
I specialize in new accounts and account maintenance, maintaining our standard operating procedures, and work with our technology and project management teams as the operations expert while also providing guidance to our Portfolio Administration, Transfer and Service teams. Much of my focus is on ensuring timely processing and accuracy, and helping my colleagues best serve our advisors.

What do you love most about your job?
As cliche as it sounds, the people! Some of my best friends are here at EQIS and I have learned so much from colleagues and advisors. I've been here for eight years, have really grown up in this company and am very grateful that EQIS took a chance on me fresh out of college.

What is your most often-asked question?
It’s probably "How do you do X?" Since I have been here for so long, most of the processes are second nature to me, even the rare or unusual ones.

What is one interesting fact that no one knows about you?
I went to art school and my thesis was on a combination of textiles and painting and I am a textiles whiz. I also spend my time crocheting (mostly stuffed toys!) and I can knit, weave and sew. Also, I can recite the alphabet backwards!

What is the best advice you ever received?
I have read How to Win Friends and Influence People a couple of times and the part that always stuck with me is to own up to your mistakes. Don't make excuses; take responsibility. People will like and trust you more that way.
