EQIS Advisor Services team member Seth Mullen started with the company in 2021 bringing over eight years of industry experience working closely with financial advisors.
We caught up with Seth to find out more about him and why his role in helping advisors is so important.
Describe your day-to-role here.
Mainly I provide advisors and their staff with any operational support they need to better serve clients. My goal and the goal of every Advisor Services team member is to wow every advisor with our service, speed and knowledge. I am also responsible for all advisor change-of-information requests and setting up new users on our amazing Freedom Advisors platform.
What do you love most about your role?
I absolutely love building and fostering relationships with our advisors and their support staff. It’s wonderful getting to work with such an amazing group inside and outside of EQIS. I also really enjoy not knowing what the day will throw my way. Each day presents new questions or opportunities and I embrace it!
What is your most often asked question?
Currently it’s “Can you help me or can you help my client get logged in to the Freedom Advisors platform?” Yes we can.
What is something that no one else knows about you?
I am a HUGE basketball fan. I played most of my life and have now been coaching for over 15 years. I have been the head coach for a junior high school boys’ team for the past four seasons. I love to share my knowledge and passion for the game.
What is the best advice you ever received?
My dad told me when I was young, “Expect the unexpected! Life is going to throw all kinds of obstacles your way. Your goal is not to avoid them, it’s learning how to overcome them.”
