Premier Relationship Manager Olga Belousova joined EQIS in 2015 as a Transfer Specialist, was promoted to Business Consultant in 2017, and was again promoted to Premier Relationship Manager in 2019.
We caught up with Olga to learn more about her and how she helps EQIS advisors.
Describe your day-to-day role here at EQIS.
I like to think of myself as an extension of our advisors' businesses, and I want to ensure that they have a positive experience working with us. Every day is very much different than the last, and all of our advisor offices are different. I assist the advisors in every way possible so they can have more time with their clients. I help answer questions, complete paperwork, train, run proposals, and process concierge requests.
What do you love most about your job?
I truly love working with our advisors and their teams. I am a people person and I enjoy cultivating relationships internally with our team members and externally with our advisors. They are amazing people. Building and maintaining relationships takes trust, dependability and accountability, and it is a rewarding feeling for me, knowing that I am trusted with the execution of client needs. I really do feel that my position is the best of all worlds… not only do I get to work with wonderful people, but I get their insights on the business as well and learn something new every day.
What is your most often-asked question?
“How do I pronounce your last name?” It is Belousova (Beh-loh-ooh-so-vah). My second most-often-asked question is, “Can you please run a proposal for us?” and my answer is always “Yes!”
What is one interesting fact that no one knows about you?
I am originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine and before I emigrated to the United States, I was training to be a professional competitive ballroom dancer. Another interesting fact is that I am trilingual, fluent in Ukrainian, Russian, and English.
What is the best advice you ever received?
“Whatever you do, never stop learning. Creativity, knowledge, and productivity are bound together.” I feel extremely grateful to be in touch with such smart, knowledgeable individuals and I do not take that for granted. I am surrounded by many talented people that share different experiences and every opportunity that I get, I really listen to the advice others give me and the knowledge they choose to share with me. I like to think outside the box and bring creativity into the workplace, and working with such a range of people allows me to do so.
